2. MICRO-ENTREPRENEUR TRAINING COURSE

 

This training course consists of 16 training sessions, 8 of which are in a classroom setting, and 8 are individual sessions. During this course the student is guided though the process of writing a business plan according to their business idea.  The student is also provided with information about all kinds of licenses, permits, and registrations their business will need in order to start operation in the State of Minnesota in accord with Minnesota state rules and regulations.

 

Students will receive information about how to implement a basic bookkeeping system, marketing plan, opening cost projections, monthly operation expenses projections, and sales projections.

This course is provided in partnership with the Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) and is offered two times per year in South Minneapolis and East St. Paul, and once a year in Northeast Minneapolis, Northfield, and Owatonna.

Calendar:

 Minneapolis: Spring classes will start in February 6 2008

Saint Paul: Spring classes will start in February 23 2008

Minneapolis: Fall classes will start in September 2008

Saint Paul: Fall classes will start in October 2008

The application deadline is 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the class.
