Latino Scholarships Fund announced  the results of 2008 Scholarship Selection Process.

The Latino Economic Development Center is proud to announce that based on decisions made by the Latino Scholarship Fund Selection Committee on 4/08/08 the following individuals were chosen to receive a Scholarship at LEDC’s annual meeting of on May 14, 2008:

The George G. W. Linares Scholarship will be awarded to Irma Marquez, who is graduating from Saint James High School in Saint James, Minnesota and attending the Gustavus Adolphus College.

Alejandro Reyes, graduating from Shakopee High School in Shakopee and attending Gustavus Adolphus College; Ana Gonzalez, graduating from Harding High School in Saint Paul and attending Augsburg College; Adriana Echeverria, graduating from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and attending Augsburg College; Greysi Ocampo, graduating from Chaska High School in Chaska and attending Normandale College Marlen Mendoza, graduating from Roosevelt High School and attending Minneapolis Community and Technical College and Edgar Ullaguari, graduating from Lincoln International High School in Minneapolis and attending Minneapolis Community and Technical College will be receiving the LEDC scholarships.

The Latino Scholarship Fund Award Ceremony will be held on July 23, 2008 at the Travelers  Tower. Thanks to The Saint Paul Travelers Foundation’s sponsorship.
