BENEFITS
1. With your participation as an LEDC member you will contribute to the economic development of the Latino Community in Minnesota. Your new business can create new employment inside the community. Your membership in LEDC will help the creation of new market communities and Hispanic business associations.
With your support in LEDC you can promote changes in law that are more just, promote the development of our community, and remove the barriers in order to have acess to busienss opportunities and strengthen existing businesses.
2. We offer to members of LEDC 20 hours of technical assistance during the process of starting a new business or during the expansion of one already existing through advisement in the following areas (applicable to levels 4 and 5)
- Leasing Contracts Negotiation
- Business Purchase or Rent Negotiation
- Business registration to the Secretary of State
- Accounting systems establishment
- Assistance regarding state permits and licenses
- Assistance during diagram elaboration (if it is required)
- Internet investigation of providers and distributors
- Searching for potential providers
- Assistance with loan packages
- Assistance with a business plan
- Assistance with cash flow projections
- Assistance with marketing
- Analysis of financial situation
- Establishing a partnership
- Partnership’s dissolution of companies
3. Discount for every hour after the 20 hours of assistance from the membership. (applicable to levels 4 and 5)
4. Possibility of getting pro-bono legal assistance, dependent on your annual revenues and the type of cost (applicable to levels 4 and 5)
- Analysis of leasing contract
- Corporation’s establishment
- Corporation’s breakup or amends
- Purchase agreement
5. Courses and workshops about business administration without any cost or with a discount (applicable to levels 4 and 5)
6. Possibility of being nominated for various recognition awards.
7. Inclusion in our electronic directory where diverse clients can find information in regards to your business.
LEVEL 1: HONORARY
Cost: $50, annually
Eligibility: Any individual or group interested in supporting the activities of economic development conducted by Latinos in the state of Minnesota.
LEVEL 2: NON-PROFIT
Cost: $100, annually
Eligibility: Any non-profit organization, with interest in development activities in the community, including the members of the Latino community in Minnesota.
LEVEL 3: REFERENCES
Cost: $200, annually
Eligibility: Established businesses for more than 3 years, service providers, or other Latino businesses.
Services: Soley referrals. Members in this category do not receive additional services by LEDC.
Clarification: Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) does not guarantee the quality of service provided by these referrals and the agreements made between members and non-members of the organization.
We recommend that multiple references be sought prior to entering into a contract or service agreement with any service provider or business, regardless of LEDC membership.
LEVEL 4: MICRO-ENTREPRENEUR
Cost: $200, annually
Eligibility: Any person interested in starting a business, those in the first 3 years of the business opening phase, or businesses within the first three years of establishment.
Services: Up to 20 hours of technical assistance in the particular areas that LEDC offers programs.
LEVEL 5: ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES
Cost: $300, annually
Eligibility: Any individual conducting business activities with more than three years of operation or any business with more than three years of operation.
Services: Up to 20 hours of technical assitance in the particular areas that LEDC offers programs.
