Volunteering is a great way to get involved with and support LEDC's strong initiatives. Help create positive change within your community by volunteering at LEDC.

ONE-TIME EVENTS
Participation does not require any special training or skills. At this level we only require a one or two day commitment from our volunteers.
LEDC's Annual Membership meeting:
This annual event is where LEDC’s members, board of directors, partners, special guests and staff celebrate together. (Every year, second week of May) (15 volunteers are needed)
TRAININGS
These projects require volunteers to be committed for the duration of the specific projects. These projects require the volunteer to be available for the specific dates and times of the programs they are volunteering opportunities for Spanish speaking students, and professionals are encouraged to apply.
Computer Literacy Instructors
We are currently seeking volunteers fluent in Spanish to help educate our clients in basic computer skills, as well as, provide training in specific programs. This is a six week long commitment, with classes meeting twice a week. The computer classes will cover basic computer skills, how to use and implement e-mail, and introduction to programs such as Word, Excel and Publisher.
Computer Lab Assistant:
A service that we provide our clients is the opportunity for them to use the LEDC computer lab once a week for any of their computer needs. We are currently seeking volunteers fluent in Spanish to monitor these two hour open labs, in order to provide technical assistance to our clients. This could include providing help with basic computer troubleshooting to more specific tasks such as assisting with the writing of documents.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES
Membership Database Upkeep:
The volunteer will be responsible for contacting LEDC's members and updating the information on our web site. The position requires the volunteer to be fluent in Spanish.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
The volunteer will be responsible for analyzing data about LEDC's members and the services provided to understand the impact of LEDC and suggest additional methods or best practices for the organization to undertake.
